Heart Friendship Bracelet

For years, I have been making friendship bracelets. However, as of late, I have just started to venture out and try new styles besides the classics (one shown here). This heart bracelet was much easier than I thought and I wanted to share a step by step guide to making this fun pattern.

{1. Cut 2 strands of each color to desired length. Fold strands in half, make a loop and knot at the top (shown holding at top).}

{2. Arrange colors like the picture above – 1212-2121.}

{3. With the far left blue strand, make three backward knots. Repeat with the far right blue strand making three forward knots. Repeat same steps with the next color (purple) strand.}

{4. With the left sided purple strand, make a forward knot. With the right sided purple strand, make a backward knot, so now the pattern is 2112-2112.}

{5. With the left sided blue string (second color), make two forward knots (the purple is still the outside color). With the right sided blue string (second color), make two backward knots until you have two blue strings in the middle. Knot those together so the pattern is 2121-1212.}

{6. With the left sided blue strand, make a forward knot. With the right sided blue strand, make a backward knot so the pattern is 1221-1221 (repeated step 4).}

{7. With the left sided purple string (second color), make two forward knots. With the right sided purple string (second color), make two backward knots until you have two purple strings in the middle. Knot those together so the pattern is 1212-2121 (repeated step 5).}

{8. With the far left blue strand, make three backward knots. Repeat with the far right blue strand making three forward knots.}

{9. Continue with steps until you meet desired length.}
