I am so glad to introduce Kelly from Austen Hill as my first guest blogger! She reached out to me awhile ago and ever since I have been following her blog! She has such a creative side and I absolutely love the way she presented her recipe for Millionaire pie below. How adorable is the big, sparkly bow?? Take it away, Kelly!
I’m so excited to be a guest on Hydrangeas and Handbags today! Tiffany was one of the first bloggers I reached out to when I was getting started and the best piece of advice she gave me was to be myself. It sounds like a simple thing, but it’s not always easy to do. I try and keep that in mind every time I sit down to write an entry. That’s also one of the things that I love most about Tiffany’s blog. Her personality and charm always come through in her writing and her pictures offer small glimpses into a fabulously styled life.
For our blog swap today we thought we would show you super easy desserts for the holidays. Today I’m making Millionaire Pie! The holidays can be so stressful so planning ahead is key. This easy dessert is great to make ahead so you have it on hand for an impromptu gathering at your house or to bring to someone else’s as a hostess gift. You can find the recipe here. I added pretzel sticks for a bit of crunch and more of a salty sweet balance which is my absolute favorite.
Don’t forget to check out Tiffany’s piece today on my blog Austen Hill here. Butterfinger Pie anyone??? Happy Holidays and I hope you will stop by and see me at Austen Hill I’d love to have you!
Add a little glamour to your hostess gift with some sparkly ribbon
There’s nothing better on a rainy Saturday than baking
I recommend using the best chocolate you can find and the darker the better
Be creative, I added pretzels but nuts or your favorite candy would also be delicious
The caramel layer is my favorite:)
